Forever New Flagship Store Launch

Written by Poppy
I played at the launch of the Forever New flagship store launch in Sandton last week. It was such a fun event. Chiano Sky performed before I hit the decks, and we got in a bit of shopping while checking out the new store. Well done to the team for an awesome night. I will definitely be popping in again to do some more shopping.

Speaking at the Werksmans Candidates Event

Written by Poppy
I was recently invited by the Werksmans law firm in Johannesburg to speak to some of their young candidates. I love giving motivational talks to young people. It's my chance to inspire and share my story. A big Thank You to the Werksmans team for a fantastic evening.

Paco Rabanne Talent Search at UJ

Written by Poppy
I love that Paco Rabanne is going around to some of the universities searching for students with musical talent. I was part of the judging panel for the Johannesburg leg. I was joined by Pro and Kamza. We kicked the JHB leg off at UJ and were completely blown away by some the acts. Congrats to Nu-Gen for winning the UJ leg. They totally kicked ass with their performance.

Matric Dance Styling for Seventeen Mag

Written by Poppy
I was asked by Seventeen Magazine to help style some young ladies for their Matric Dance feature, while I was in Cape Town recently.  It took me back to my Matric Dance, and how much fun it was glamming for the night. It's amazing how much the fashion has changed and how awesome it is that girls can wear so many different styles. I can't wait for you to see how I styled the girls. Catch the feature in the next issue of Seventeen Magazine.

Nike Run Jozi Is Here

Written by Poppy
It’s crazy how time just flies. I was part of the team that introduced and launched the concept of  Nike’s Run Jozi in January, and a couple of weeks later, the first ever Run Jozi is finally here. Today 10 000 runners in lumo yellow shirts take over the streets of Johannesburg by night. The significance of it all is that we’re taking back the streets of Johannesburg on Human Right’s Day, and we're exercising our right to run free in our city. The Nike SA team have put together a day of amazing fun, so we’re going to be jamming to some of SA’s top talent. I’ll be the host for the day. I can’t wait to run the 10KM’s and be part of this historic event. Let’s run free, let’s run Jozi!

Oh, I did a bit of training, just because I'm running and MCing, so I have to be on top of my game. LOL! Check out the pic of my T-shirt for the run and the route we're going to be running.
